Antique steamer travelling trunk chest of fairly large size made in the 1910s probably. It's wood, covered in dark grey painted fabric, with black patterned leather edges and hardwood struts. Bound in brass at the corners and the three catches on the front are solid brass too. There's a leather handle at each end. The interior is fabric lined. Small metal wheels underneath. Condition is pretty good structurally: it's solid and sound; the catches work (though no keys) and the leather handles are remarkably intact. There's an old patch on part of the top (see pics). Cosmetically there are lots of signs of age: wear to the fabric and its paint, scratches, scuffs and marks etc but overall it has a nice feel and not overly shabby looking. Admittedly the fabric inside is a little worse for wear; could be glued or removed. Dimensions: 100cm x 51cm x 49cm high
